Black Myth: Wukong Player Support

Installation/Patch FAQ

1. What should I do if I experience frame drop/crashes/unable to enter the game after installing the patch on the PC platform?

1) We have identified that a small number of players are experiencing frame drop after installing the patch. This may be related to the graphics card drivers not being properly reset. Please try restarting your computer and then re-entering the game. Additionally, check the game settings for any anomalies in graphics quality, display resolution and anything that may affect game performance.

2) If you encounter frequent crashes or are unable to enter the game after installing the patch, we kindly recommend using the integrity verification feature of STEAM / EPIC GAMES STORE / WEGAME to attempt to repair the game files.

3) If you have installed mods in the game, installing the patch may cause compatibility issues with the mods. This could prevent you from launching the game or triggering error pop-ups during gameplay. We recommend uninstalling the installed mods and verifying the integrity of the game files before restarting the game.

2. Why does the required free disk space for the patch far exceed the patch size downloaded by the platform?

Due to the platform's update mechanism, your computer will need to reserve a larger amount of free disk space (not necessarily on the same disk if you are s STEAM user) for temporary storage of the update files. The specific amount of disk space required depends on the platform you are using and the size of the patch. For example, the 1.0.8.14860 version update patch is approximately 1.6 GB, but the required free disk space is 80 GB.

3. I am playing in an internet cafe and have encountered an issue with the patch installation. What should I do?

If you are playing in an internet cafe and encounter abnormal patch sizes or crashes after installation, it is recommended to seek assistance from the cafe's administrator. Some internet cafes use a diskless environment with unified deployment, which may cause the game installation files to become corrupted during the patch installation, leading to the aforementioned issues.
